Have you ever wondered about the origin story behind The Style That Binds Us? 

For years, we've helped you understand fashion brands by sharing their unique stories and connecting you with them on a deeper level. But today, I wanted to open up and share more about our own story and how it all began.

The Style That Binds Us was born out of a shared passion between myself and my daughter, Delia. I had been working as an image consultant, helping women rediscover themselves and build their confidence through style. 

Meanwhile, Delia was blazing her own trail in the fashion world, landing a role on the Buying team at Barneys New York right out of college. 

Though pursuing our own individual paths, we collaborated often, bouncing ideas off each other and dreaming up ways to make an impact. The idea of joining forces kept bubbling up in conversations with friends and colleagues who saw our unique mother-daughter dynamic. 

People would say, "You two have such an amazing relationship and you're both so passionate about fashion - you should really do something together!" 

So, to make a long story short, The Style That Binds Us was born - a platform to share our knowledge, demystify the fashion industry, and help women embrace their unique personal style at any age, to feel welcome at our table. 

The name represents the ties that connect us all as women, and the power of fashion to make us feel confident, beautiful and true to ourselves. Oh, and we are bound as mother and daughter also!

Every challenge we've faced, and every story we've shared, has only reaffirmed why we do this work. 

Empowering women is our purpose and our passion.
